Inversion House - Houston Texas

15 March 2011

A friend told me about this project recently (a little late I know as it was demolished in 2005) but who cares if I'm not the most up-to-date - I still found it fascinating.

Texan artists Havel & Ruck made this piece from two houses that were scheduled for demolition.  They converted it to one house with a vortex running through the middle of it - as if it's been struck by a bizarre and strong weather phenomenon.  The design makes it look as if one side of the building as been sucked through to the other side, and it was possible to crawl through the centre.  Very clever, wish I'd seen it in real life
