Loire World River Cup & Saucer

A design celebrating the course of the river Loire, from start to finish.  The source is on the saucer and meanders around the cup.  

I designed four cups and saucers in this set and they are quite subtle and understated - people sometimes ask me if they are tree roots or electrical shocks.  Each mug focusses on a famous world river.  There's no particular rhyme or reason to why I chose the rivers, just ones that caught my fancy.  For me it's about where you want to go in your imagination when you are having a cup of coffee or tea.
