Colourful & elegant 18th century cup & saucer
A charming hand painted cup and saucer with bronze lustre details. It's unmarked so not sure of the maker, possibly Worcester. I know it was made between around 1780 and 1810 (because of the 'bute' shape and the fact that they haven't made an indent for the cup either).
I love the colours of the rust foliage and the green berries, it's quite modern, not twee or cutesy. A really attractive piece of useable history.
It has no chips but does have some wear which I've tried to show. Very good condition considering it's age.
Cup: 5.5h x 8.5w cms (2.1 x 3.3 inches)
Saucer: 3h x 14w cms (1.1 x 5.5 inches)
