Keemun Tea - Rare Tea Company & Snowden Flood
Prepared for Snowden Flood by the Rare Tea Company, London this fine black tea was grown and crafted in Anhui Province, in China. Keemun became the most popular tea in the UK in the 19th century. It is roasted over charcoal giving a warm & deep taste.
Method: Warm a large teapot. Measure 5g of Keemun into a small teapot and infuse with 100ml of water for 20 seconds. Pour the infused tea into the larger warmed pot. Re-infuse the wet leaf for a further 20 seconds Add this second infusion to the first in the larger pot. Repeat for 4 further infusions. In this way 5g of tea will give you a perfect pot of tea to last you all afternoon. (You might want to keep it warm with a tea-cosy.)
