An original painting, and part of a series of ongoing focussed on architectural forms, especially staircases and structures. I used to work in architecture and interiors and I've always been very fascinated and intrigued by stairs - they are very symbolic. This painting was inspired by a staircase in London designed in the 1930s by Oliver Hill.
I painted it at the end of 2018 in gouache and watercolour on board and it's mounted and framed in a solid pallisander frame.
Painting: 20 x 28 cms (7.8 x 11 inches)
Framed: 33 x 46 cms (12.9 x 18 inches)
This original painting is also available as a limited edition print
