Carters Steam Fair
23 June 2011
Obviously I love fairgrounds since I have a range of products inspired by them! Luckily for me I was driving home with a friend the other day and we went past Carters Steam Fair so we parked up and went for a wander. Too bad my little boy was with his dad that day as he loves it too and would have loved to come with us.
Carters is such a class act, every part of their show looks beautiful, all the painting and signage is immaculate. Also everyone working there is supernice, even when I lobbed a coconut completely out of the shy onto the roof of another stand! (throwing is not my strongpoint!). They have loads of amazing penny machines that are each works of art and fun to play. Sadly we didn't have time to stay for the Wall of Death show or the great Voltini either.... another time. According to their website they are the largest original touring vintage fairground anywhere in the world, their equipment, transport, rides and sideshows are all pre 1960's. Strongly recommended for a visual delight.
